go through the stones again?

I thought they really hated living in the past. They made the best of it,
but they didn't relish it like Claire did. I was sad for the reason they
had to go back, but really glad that they had a reason to go back. They
really were out of their element. They wanted to do the right thing and
stay with family, but as time went on the rough and tumble ways of the past
was really too much for them to handle.

I don't think they'll risk it again. I agree with you, they never felt
totally comfortable there. Brianna went only to have a chance to meet her
father and I think she intended to return her time but then Roger followed
her and she got pregnant and we know the rest.

I like the idea of them being in their own time and enjoying the house at
Lallybroch. I can see Roger and Jemmy going to the movies and playing with
cars and all the other things that they had been envisioning for him and
Mandy.

I would love to see how Jamie would react to seeing the future but I know
that he can't time travel and, even if he could, he would be TOTALLY out of
his element. It would still be fun to show him the toilet or an airplane or
television or so many other things.

I wonder if you could put a message or items on a dog or bird and send it
through the stones? Like if Brianna and Claire had experimented with it
before she went back, then they could have just said, "OK, we're going to
wait at the stones at such and such a time on each feast day (or whenever
the thing is "open") and be ready to receive the message/items.

I kinda wonder how Brianna and Roger are going to explain 'current'
times to Jemmy? And how will they explain Jemmy and his ideas of life
to others? Perhaps there is a break off here and there will be a new
book describing some of these things? I know that I was left with the
feeling that we had not seen the last of them...but as someone else
already said...time will tell...

Oh I love the idea of them communicating "through" the stones without having
to actually go through. That opens up a whole nother story idea.
