No set time. I read at various times all day long. I guess the longest
block of reading time is late at night.

I obviously love historical fiction, but I'm also into autobiographies by
regular people from different countries. I also love Amy Tan and Margaret
Atwood.

Until 2 or 3 in the morning.

SO: Am a widow, but husband did read.
Prefer: doesn't matter.

I read every afternoon on my lunch break at work and every night before bed.
Although, if I'm really involved in a book, sometimes the couch in the evening
when no one is home....

Believe it or not, lunch is interesting in that I work in a very small office
that is in a private home so I go to my car for lunch since I don't have enough
time to go anywhere else and I absolutely have to get out of the place for some
peace and quiet during my break. (I have a van so I can stretch out) . In
warm weather I go out in back of the building and sit in chair to enjoy the
weather along with my book but sometimes co-workers come looking for me back
there! Don't interrupt my lunch and my reading!!!! I have even had to set
customers straight who have come up to my van during my lunch to ask me a
question... 12 years and they still don't get it! Leave me alone when there's
a book in my hand and I'm not in the office!
The rest of the time, it's mostly in bed...

Actually, I'm usually alone simply because husband works nights and my son is
almost never home like most 19 year olds.
So doesn't matter....

Trash, but it takes my mind off the day and the stress therein. I'm known as a
reader by friends, family and even some of the customers at my job and they
frequently pass books to me. Some turn out to be good even though its not what
I would have picked up in a bookstore, but what the heck, when you need
something to read and there's a fresh pile of unread books for free....(there's
a school across the street from my office and the crossing guard always sees me
reading in my van...she's a reader too so she gives me books too!)

Makes no difference to me, though I have found that I am rarely more
interesting to my family than I am when reading. I pick up a book and
suddenly everyone wants to talk.
