No...I think he'll turn up again...even just to get killed by Jamie, Roger
or Brianna.

He was gut shot. At that time, you don't come back from that. It's a horrible,
slow, painful death.

But then, as the lady's DH says, the only sure way to know a character's dead
is when s/he goes "ack" and drops in front of you.

"Where did you learn to kiss like that?" I said, a little breathless. He
grinned and pulled me close again.
"I said I was a virgin, not a monk," he said, kissing me again.

I'll have to reread it to make sure, but I had the impression that
Stephen "The Beast" Bonnet suffered a gunshot wound to the groin (the
gonads to be more precise). Sort of like the sword wound Jamie
inflicted on Jack Randall. Appropriate in the case of both villains,
wouldn't you say?
And, no, I don't think we've seen the end of Bonnet. With the paternity
of Brianna's baby still to be resolved, Bonnet's reappearance will
provide some fireworks. And I hope the dude's felled by Roger, with a
sword....and lots of blood. (Sorry, I get so emotionally involved with
the characters...)
Yeah, it's time to reread them all again. <g>
