Ugh! I finished re-reading The Fiery Cross last night and now the waiting
begins! I started reading the whole series again in May because I thought
it would take me a while to get through them all but I should have
remembered that once I started, I wouldn't be able to put them down!

Come on September!

I will have to say that there were a few things that I had forgotten about
in The Fiery Cross so it was nice to read it again and still be a little
surprised at times. Since that was the last book to be released, it's the
one that I've read the least amount of times.

My husband is on Dragonfly right now He read the others in the series but
never read the Fiery Cross so he better hurry up if he wants to get through
them all. I also got the mother of one of my daughter's friends to read
them. I think she's on Drums of Autumn now.

I gave Outlander to my mom to read a few weeks ago but she is a bit
intimidated by the size of it so she's only on chapter two. She usually
doesn't read novels, just the newspapers and magazines so it's a big jump
for her to tackle this but I'm hoping she gets into it and enjoy it as much
as I did.

So, I guess I'll be looking for some other light reading material in the
mean time. I'll have to check out some of the titles that have been
mentioned here.

Happy Reading!

One of the students at work (I work for a university) was mentioning how she
had two goals this holiday weekend. One was to clean her apartment top to
bottom, the other was to finish this "thousand page book" she'd started.
When I asked her what it was, she told me, "Drums of Autumn"! I started
laughing, told her how obsessed I was with the whole series and offered her
the other books in the series, since she'd started in the middle. Another
convert!!!

That's funny! I've never heard of anyone starting at the middle of the
series. Is she enjoying reading it even without all the background
knowledge of the details of the story? That's really interesting. It also
goes to show how great an author Diana is if she can write these books with
enough merit to stand on their own and get people hooked even though they
are part of a series. I hope she finished it and I wonder what she'll think
after she's had a chance to read the other books.

P.S. I asked my mom how she's doing with Outlander and she's on chapter 10
now so she's making progress and she really likes it. Add her to the list
of converts!

Yes, she is enjoying it very much, though she realizes that she's missing a
lot of background info. I think she's on vacation or a rotation that has her
out of the hospital this time (vet school). Maybe I can find my copy of
Outlander before then. If not... well, I need new copies anyway. I want to
get the larger format books this time, and if I could find hardbacks, even
better.
