The only one I'm sure of would be Alex Kingston (from ER) as Claire.

Maybe Liam Neeson as middle-aged Jamie, but don't know who for the young

been who I have mentally envisioned the entire time. Nicole Kidman
for Bree (maybe an older Bree) but fits the part. Orlando Bloom for
Roger. Danny Devito for Raymond. Kirstie Alley for Gillian.

And most of the actors I picture while I read are so much older that they wouldn't be good choices as they are now (Ian McShane*Lovejoy* as Dougal, Debra Winger as Jenny, etc.)

I still vote for David Wenham as an older Jamie.
